Now I understand people are into different things but cmon! Somebody has to play sports! Im on my Varsity baseball team (Go Kennebunk Rams!) and whenever I ask about it they talk about sports like its beneath them. is anyone out there not into all this japanese hoohaw? What the hell is a kawaii? Man Im confused...
I can really relate to you man. Sad as it is, many of the players in this game seem to view sports as a barbaric, unsubtle form of recreation, when in fact- and this may offend some gamers- I believe they take a greater level of skill and discipline to play than videogames. I myself play Gaelic Football and Hurling ( I'd be fairly surprised if you knew of these), and like a game of football on the green with my mates when the weather's good, but this doesn't make me a cretinous jock: I read, I play games, I cook etc. I'm respectful of other peoples interests, so i don't know why I have to get flamed ingame if I so much as ask if anyone watched the match today..

eh yea nothing worse than that freakin pre-sear dis 1 in ascalon, weirdest people you'll meet, gave my bud a black dye for a naked ele dance... now thats strange

you won't here me talking about skating cause my board snapped in half *cheap peice of junk* eh 10 bucks doesn't buy much -_-"

Still yeah, it be kinda funny to meet most people who play this game in real life, only reason i know what c++ is cause my friends, who seriously need a life baad. I bet the only weight a lot of people that play this game ever touched was a paper one.

Those bands, lol never heard of them, but i might check um out

anime just plain sucks... although there's a good reason why that is pretty much the adult entertainment and stuff over there, but thats not forum appropriate lol, still it sucks flat out it sucks :P i guess you can like it, but i might go elvis and shoot the tv is you make me lol

It's just that the people I meet in school, they're very sensitive to animation. They always discuss about topics like 'omg their eyes are so uneven in episode 143' and so on.

Faithful anime-watchers in my school also seem to..hate anything else that's not of anime quality.

I've also noticed that there aren't really any comedy based anime-shows? Maybe it's just me, but a lot of it has to do with monsters, sporting events, pornography, love, cloths, etc. Nothing that has the intention to make someone laugh continuously during a show.

Perhaps I should look harder? Or is the comedy stuff just 'not cool' among anime fans?

Oh, and England got lucky today >_>

The only match I saw today was Argentina vs. Ivory Coast... got up really late and had to go out for supper...

@Roy: When you say football do you mean soccer or football?, as in the sport you use your hands in... and what is Hurling?

Those are the 'hardcore' peeps who have some sort of twisted image how anything coming from Japan is flat out superior to anything other countries could ever do, I suppose.

And comedy, there's a lot, Love Hina is one, although it has it's fair share on romance and the storyline is a bit flat, but it is quite funny.

School Rumble is another, revolving around a bunch of kiddies in school has a _lot_ of comedy, and had me laughing through most the episodes, and it doesn't rely on beating the main character to pulp to make the fun come out, like Love Hina does most of the time.

Azumanga Daioh is another school-related, partly bizarre comedy..

Those are atleast few more comedy based and less serious shows I could think of straight away, but in general, most shows have more or less comedy mixed in to lighten the otherwise serious plot, like Trigun which has multiple 'comedy episodes' and very dramatic episodes towards the end.

Gaelic football is an Irish sport, sort of a hybrid between football(soccer) and rugby. As for hurling..it's really hard to explain, I'll look for a video link to a few clips if I can.
